Frequently asked questions

How long do I have to study?

A little every day. I'd say about 15 minutes a day. It's been proven that studying three times for 10 minutes is more effective than studying for half an hour all at once.

What can I do to help my child with his Spanish course?

You can study with your child by asking him what vocabulary words he learned in his last class. You can also browse my site and check out the useful links page.

Will my child be able to take part in a language immersion trip?

I believe that learning a foreign language necessarily involves immersion. Not only is it an opportunity for students to put into practice everything they've learned, but it's also a chance to showcase all their efforts.

Is my child allowed to use his/her cell phone to do Spanish homework?

I support the use of cell phones in the classroom and at home. I will educate and teach students how to use cell phones and which tools are the best and most efficient. I will show young people that technology can sometimes be too powerful for their level of Spanish, and I will test with them the limits as well as the good and bad sides of each application.

How many hours of Spanish lessons are there in total?

Students take Spanish in Secondary 2 and 3 for around 75 hours a year. These are not two separate Spanish courses. It's very important to understand that it's abouta single course lasting two years. When you're learning a language, there's a logical process whereby the material always gets a little more difficult as you progress. Be careful not to fall behind.

Is the Spanish course only in Spanish?

The A1 beginner Spanish course is conducted as much as possible in Spanish. I will use a teaching method that encourages the use of the Spanish language.

Are we going to make any plans?

There aren't many projects in the A1 beginners' Spanish course. We'll be doing two oral presentations. The first in January and the second in June.

Will we be singing songs in Spanish?

Yes, music is a very effective way of learning a language. Whether it's to learn sounds, tones, accents, pronunciation, vocabulary and more, music remains a highly effective means of learning. What's more, it creates a great working atmosphere and helps you to bond.

Please send me your comments so that I can make my website even more attractive and complete. I'll take the time to read all your messages. Thank you very much!
